ESPN+ does not offer live streaming of the “regular” ESPN channels. If you want that you’ll need to find a service that offers that service (there are many) so you can authenticate to the ESPN app to stream the games. ESPN+ is not the same as regular ESPN.

Tbh ESPN has very poor historical data. It doesn’t seem to hard to keep a lifetime data of your league running. Champions wall, overall records regular season and playoffs (only teams that made it) , points score , points against, etc etc. easily implemented and would be something people absolutely love to look at

You can confirm which teams would be blacked out here. ESPN+ also blacks out nationally broadcast games. This includes games on NHL Network, which can surprise people sometimes. So, to guarantee access to all Habs games, your dad would need ESPN+, the blackout teams' regional sports networks, ESPN, TNT, and the NHL Network. (ETA: oh, and ABC.)
